education in Mechanical Engineering , brought me to Singapore with the ambition where I did my Post Graduate in Mechanical

Engineering at National University of Singapore. Now presently working in singapore in UGS Software Technical Manager.

I have been blessed to have a regular guiding from my father, my mother, Brother and My sisters as they are the naissance pillars of

my life. I draw unremitting inspiration from my father and my mother. I have Two lovely Sisters and one loving Brother of which.
I my

family, I am the Yougest.

I am also most fortunate to have had a strong guidence from my most of my Lecturer Prof.Dr.A.Venkatraman, Dr.V.Soundararajan,

Mr.B.Prabu, Mr.T.Senthilvelan, Mr.K.Mahadevan, Mr.Logeswaran, and Many more to go...through their motivation and

Encouragement. Also, my teachers have left indelible impression on me right from schooling to my college days. The Last but not the

least, the god has blessed me to have lots of friends who has encouraged in my studies and life.

The inherent ambience of Pondy, as it is fondly called, becomes most evident in the oldest part of the town which flanks the seashore boulevard.

Colonial buildings, some which trace back to the 18th century, line along a grid of straight clean streets and house the French institutions, private homes and businesses, and the sprawling premises of the famous Sri Aurobindo Ashram.

The visitor is greeted by mellow colours of cream, yellow, pink and grey with flamboyant bougainvillae bursting over gates and compound walls of cool courtyards.

The Government Park is the centre of old colonial part of the town and provides a cool and lush green anchor around which most government buildings are situated:

the Lt. Governor's Palace, the Legislative Assembly, Government Hospital, but also the Ashram Dining Room in a beautiful Villa, the Cercle de Pondichery, which is a private club, and old Hotel Qualité.

Pondicherry is best accessible by road from Chennai and Bangalore. Chennai's international airport which directly connects to the highway to Pondy. And good transit hotels are available in the vincinity for travellers who arrive in the night.

Pondicherry has a wide choice of hotels for most visitors: beach resorts
for the easy
going tourist and families, heritage hotels for those who want
to experience something else, high class commercial hotels for the
coorporate visitor and the neat Ashram Guest Houses for the spiritual
seeker. And ambient restaurants serve a rich variety of French, Indian,
Asian and continental food, with the latest pizza for an American bite.

For the shopper Pondy has a lot to offer and is fast becoming a favourite shopping destination of the southern metropolitan cities. Pondy is soft on your purse with taxes low or non-existent. It is known for its traditional doll-making and textiles and silks. But it is also the birthplace of several world class brands in leather, pottery, aromatics, fashion and handmade paper. These excellent products came to renown solely by their superb quality.

Able Governors like Lenoir (1726-1735) and Dumas (1735-1741) and an ambitious

Governor Dupleix (1742-1754) expanded the Pondicherry area and made it a large

and rich town.

But ambition clashed with the English interests in India and the local kingdoms

and a period of skirmishes and political intrigues began. Under the command of

Bussy, Dupleix's army successfully controlled the area between Hyderabad and

Cape Comorin. But then Robert Clive arrived in India, a dare-devil officer who

dashed the hopes of Dupleix to create a French Colonial India. After a defeat

and failed peace talks, Dupleix was recalled to France.

In Tamil Town the streets are lined by verandahs and extended porches where its residents would gather and passing guests would spend the night.

Sights are manifold with pastel coloured churches and bright temple towers; Joan of Arc's heavenward gaze vies with the tall carved pillars from Gingee at the seafront.

Pondy hasn't only its own special attractions to offer. It is a perfect base to explore the rich destinations around it, even in daily trips:

Auroville, the international City of Unity; the imposing Gingee Fort, the holy temple towns of Kanchipuram, Tiruvannamalai and Chidambaram, the heritage sculptures and magnificent rock temples of Mamallapuram, and the cool and lush hillstations of Yercaud and Kodaikanal.

The main rainy season is in November-January and the 'small' monsoon in July-September relieves Pondy from the summer heat with light showers.

Though there is usually a high humidity in Pondy, during the months of May and June there may be at times a hot dry landwind blowing.
